You’d think that there would be more affordable and delicious food options around the CBD area, considering the sheer number of people who work there.
Unfortunately, we know that’s not the case. Finding a meal below SGD15 in the CBD area is pretty much the epitome of spotting a unicorn in the wild at this point, unless you know where to look.
Luckily for you, we do! After some intense scouring (on the web and the streets), we have found the 21 best meals in CBD for under SGD15.

1. Two Blur Guys
You don’t have to resort to your usual fast food fare if you’re looking to fill a burger craving. With burgers going as low as SGD10.45, Two Blur Guys is probably going to be your next favourite comfort food joint.
For an even more satisfying meal, you can upgrade it to a meal set (complete with potato wedges and garden greens), priced between SGD12.95 and SGD14.95. The ones containing their Prime Beef are a little pricier, though, so take note when you’re ordering!

2. Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ Restaurant
Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ restaurant is, undoubtedly, one of the top picks when it comes to best meals in CBD under SGD15. Not only do they have a value lunch set on weekdays that offers great rice bowls at a price range of SGD10-14, but they also have a special weekend lunch set that is along the same price as well.
Dinner-goers don’t have to worry either— their normal menu also has dishes that are well below SGD15. Our top pick? Either the Spicy Ramen (SGD11.80) or the Seafood Okoge (SGD12.80).

3. Kko Kko Na Ra
This one is definitely limited to its lunch menu if you’re looking to stay within SGD15, but we have to say, the offerings are pretty decent!
Pick from a selection of classic Korean dishes, such as the Spicy Korean Noodle (SGD11) or the Kimchi-Jjigae (SGD12). The Bibimbap also comes in at SGD12, with a majority of their lunch menu being priced below SGD15.
As mentioned, the menu is a little more expensive when it comes to dinner, but we’re told that the great taste and ambience more than make up for it, making it one of the top contenders for best meals in CBD under SGD15.

4. The Wicked Garlic
There’s no doubt that one of the best kind of carbs are the kind that comes with the two P’s: pasta, and pizza, of course! With two outlets found in the central area of Singapore, The Wicked Garlic is definitely one of the top picks when it comes to best meals in CBD area for under SGD15.
Opt for the Spaghetti Aglio Olio at just SGD7, or the Bolognese for just SGD10. The other pastas all range within SGD12-13, too, so you’ll definitely have more than enough variety while staying within budget here.

5. Ikkousha Hakata Ramen
Who doesn’t love a rich, delectable bowl of ramen?
The good news is that you can get your fix at a reasonable price and within the CBD area at Ikkousha Hakata Ramen. Their Tonkotsu Shio costs just SGD11.50, or you could go for the God Fire (SGD14) if you’re looking for something with a little bit more of a kick to it.
Small eaters can also get mini Mentai Dons and Cha-Shu Dons for SGD3.50, or even the Gold Fried Rice for SGD10. Trust us, there’s definitely something for everyone at this establishment.

6. Hachi Teh
Hachi Tei has a diverse menu with a wiiidddeee selection, but their most popular dishes by far are their set menus and dons. Their Sake Shioyaki Set (comes with grilled mackerel, rice, salad, fruit, pickles and miso soup) only costs SGD12 (!!), while their Katsu Dons only cost SGD9.
Their Udons go for even cheaper, coming in at SGD8 and SGD9. With prices like these, there’s no doubt that Hachi Tei is one of the best meals in CBD under SGD15, really.

7. Tokidon
Gourmet beef bowls for under SGD15?! We know, we were sceptical at first, too, but as it turns out, it’s pretty legit.
The basic Gyu Don costs SGD11.90, and it comes with a nice helping of striploin beef, rice, and an onsen egg topped with cured kelp and garlic soy. Yum! You can pay a little extra to top up for other ingredients such as foie gras, too, or opt for a truffle infused bowl instead if you’re looking to treat yourself.
With food and prices like these, it’s no wonder it is regarded to be one of the best meals in CBD for under SGD15.

8. Singkoba
Finding an establishment that serves Korean cuisine at a reasonable price can be pretty tricky in Singapore, but Singkoba proves to be an exception. You can pay a smidge more than SGD15 (SGD18, in fact) to get their super value for money Korean BBQ sets, but if you’d rather not, they have more affordable items on their menu, too.
Our picks? The Kimchi Stew (SGD13) and the Seafood Pancake (SGD14).

9. Tendon Ginza Itsuki
This restaurant may only serve two dishes, but rest assured, they’re of great quality and are affordable, too!
You can pick either the Special Tendon (SGD13.90) set or the Vegetable Tendon (SGD12.90) set, with the former containing two pieces of perfectly fried tempura, chicken, eggs, and vegetables.
The latter comes with a variety of veggies that are look perfectly crunchy and crisp. Score! The high quality and affordable prices leaves no doubt as to why they’re one of the best meals in CBD under SGD15, really.

Yes, you can 100% get yourself authentic Banh Mi (a Vietnamese style baguette sandwich) in the CBD area! Located right along the Clarke Quay river, Little Saigon offers all of the best when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine. Think Banh Mi, Pho, and street snacks such as Sugarcane Prawns.
We recommend getting a Banh Mi, which ranges from SGD10-14, or the Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup) which will cost you about SGD14.

12. Chong Wen Ge Café
Peranakan cuisine isn’t exactly a dime a dozen in Singapore, let alone a place that delivers on affordable Peranakan cuisine. That’s truly what makes Chong Wen Ge Café so special — and it’s certainly one of the best meals in CBD under SGD15 that you can find.
A generous doling of laksa costs SGD10.80, while a plate of Satay Bee Hoon costs SGD8.80. Their exquisite kuehs come at the low price of SGD1.50 each, too, so make sure to have one to go (for tea!)

The bagel scene may not have quite exploded onto the local food scene quite yet, but it’s only a matter of time before this quintessential American breakfast food makes it big, really.
Get yourself a hearty (and affordable!) meal over at Two Men Bagel House, which offers premium bagels packed chockful of great ingredients such as salmon and ribs.
They have sweet options too, for those who prefer it as more of a dessert option. The Breakfast Bagel comes in at SGD7.90, while the LOX Bagel costs SGD11.90.

14. Yugo Izakaya
Primarily serving up Japanese cuisine with a hint of Western twist, Yugo Izakaya has a pretty great selection of bar snacks, sake (!!), grilled meats, and don sets. The sheer variety alone is enough to put them on the list for best meals in CBD under SGD15, but it is the great reviews and quality that really propels them to the top.
Try out their Beef Tamago Don Set (SGD10.90), which features grilled angus beef on a bed of rice and tamago over it, or the Panseared Salmon Don at just SGD8.90.

15. Katanashi
Located just a short walk away from Raffles Place MRT Station, Katanashi offers great lunch sets for just SGD12. We’re talking generous portions of unagi, chicken, katsu, and more that are accompanied by miso soup, chawanmushi, and pickles.
Their cold dishes such as the Roast Beef Katanashi Style also comes at the low, low price of SGD9.80 a bowl, along with their Okonomiyaki Omelet. You can go for their Udons, too, which will only set you back by SGD12.90.

16. Rollie Olie
There are sushi rolls and poke bowls abound over at Rollie Olie. Expect mouthwatering creations (with adorable names, too boot) stuffed with avocado, salmon, and grilled eel, and all available at affordable prices.
If you’re still unsure as to what to try, we recommend The Catepillar (SGD12.90) or the K-Pop (SGD12.95). As for poke bowls, opt for the Mentaiko Aburi at SGD9.80.

17. Hanare Japanese Café
There are several items on Hanare Japanese Café’s menu that fits well within the SGD15 budget. Go for the Pork Fried With Ginger, the Fried Chicken, or the Chicken Nanban, all of which come in at just SGD12.80 each.
Oh, and did we mention that it is buffet style, too? Yup, you’re not going to be getting just mains, you can also choose from a selection of rice, miso soup, pasta, salad, eggs, and fried snacks to round out your meal. A food coma is probably imminent, but it’ll be worth it.

18. Pho Stop
If Vietnamese fare is more up your alley than rice bowls, then Pho Stop is the one for you.
Considered to be one of the best meals in CBD for under SGD15, their Ribeye Pho and Hanoi Chicken Pho only costs SGD10.70, while their dry noodles and rice dishes range from SGD10-12. Pair it all with a cup of Vietnamese Coffee at SGD4.40 to round off your meal. (Or maybe dessert; they have Coconut Ice Cream and cakes, too.)

19. Beppu Menkan
You can expect inventive bowls of ramen and dons over at Beppu Menkan. Seriously, we’re talking Buttercorn Ramen (SGD8.80) and Kamado Jigoku (loosely translated to cooking pot of hell… say what?!) that all comes at super reasonable prices.
Everything ranges from SGD8-15, so order accordingly! Their speciality is, of course, their ramens, but we’re told that their Udons are pretty solid, too.

Noodle lovers are sure to love Ngon, which has a comprehensive range of noodles that are sure to delight. Oh, and did we mention that it is easy on your wallet, too? Their Dry Pork Noodles costs SGD9.90, while their Special Beef Slices & Balls Noodles comes up to just SGD10.90.
If SGD15 is your budget, well, that means you have more than enough money to top it up to a meal. With the addition of SGD2, you can get a plate of Crispy Spring Rolls as well as a cup of coffee or tea. We know a great deal when we see one!

Getting a meal under SGD15 is limited to lunch time as well at Moi Lum Restaurant. But considering how it is of restaurant quality, we have to say that it’s a pretty good deal!
Their set lunches consist of a main and a soup or drink at just SGD8.90. Pick from hearty Chinese fare such as Pineapple Fried Rice and Seafood Glass Noodles, or opt for their Cantonese set lunch (SGD9.90) which comprises of a main, soup, and a piece of fruit.
