There’s a Minions high tea in Singapore – and you can find it at 2am: dessertbar

First, we had the Minions Tumbler from Golden Village. Now, the Minions are back on our radar, this time as an exclusive high tea experience at 2am: dessertbar.

For the uninformed, 2am: dessertbar is opened by renowned Singaporean pastry chef Janice Wong who constantly redefines the dessert category by coming up with unique experiences, such as this upcoming Minion-themed one.

Over six months in the making, this thematic high tea features decadent desserts like macarons, mooncakes, and buns clad with the beloved Despicable Me characters that everyone, regardless of age, will melt over. This also marks Wong’s third collaboration with Illumination (the folks behind the animation), but this year it’s set to be bigger and more elaborate than ever.

Look forward to a brand new assortment of edible canapés including Orange Blossom Macaron, Stuart’s Lemon Tart, Vanilla Custard Mochi, Banana White Bean Snowskin Mooncake, Kevin’s Popcorn Caramel Bon Bon, Banana Passionfruit Cake, and also, Gru’s Bao.

You should definitely round up the kiddos for this afternoon tea experience because there’s something for the little ones!

The Passionfruit and Peppermint Chocolate Paint and Crayons is an edible offering that lets the kids draw with and eat to their heart’s content. To round out the meal, sip on a peculiar-looking yet deliciously refreshing Soda Vanilla Pop.

On top of the themed desserts, you can also expect a slew of Despicable Me decorations like life-sized inflatables and plushies at the dessert restaurant as well as take-home prize packs with limited-edition collectibles to be won.

The Minions High Tea Experience launches tomorrow (22 June) and will run for six weeks every Tuesday to Sunday from 3pm to 6pm at 2am: dessertbar located at 21A Lorong Liput, Singapore 277733. Only dine-in is allowed and tickets are priced at S$55 nett per adult and S$40 nett per child under 12. Make your reservations here.
