Perched atop the 34th floor of the sleek new Labrador Tower, is a luminous new player in Singapore’s ever-evolving rooftop dining scene.

With its dual-concept layout, the venue houses both La Torre, a refined Italian restaurant inspired by the culinary soul of Emilia-Romagna, and La Luna, a sunset-to-midnight rooftop bar that pulses with after-dark energy.

As one of the tallest buildings in the area, it offers a bird’s eye view of the port as it takes you through Italian dishes that are steeped in tradition and craft.
AVENUE ONE visited the newly opened establishment and share our thoughts about its menu.
Small Plates That Set The Stage

The La Torre’s Fried Lasagna (S$18) is crispy on the outside, molten and savoury within, a playful reimagining of a Bolognese classic is layered with shredded Wagyu D Rump beef ragù, Fior Di Latte mozzarella, and Parmigiano Reggiano. Once chilled, cut, and breaded, each golden cube is deep-fried to perfection. Served with a side of house-made Bagnetto Rosso – a punchy, anchovy-laced tomato and red pepper sauce – this dish delivers comforting familiarity wrapped in irresistible crunch. We highly recommend this for a strong opening for your meal.
Another starter to consider is the Stecco Petroniano (S$14 for 2 pcs). Think Italian croquette meets corndog. These skewered bites from Bologna combine pistachio-studded Mortadella Levoni, sharp Provolone Auricchio, creamy béchamel, and a whisper of sage, encased in a crisp breadcrumb shell. A sweet-sour shallot compote on the side lends a bright counterpoint, elevating this rich street snack into something truly refined.
My favourite starter has to be the Stracciatella Cheese with Parma Ham & Crispy Polenta (S$18). This is a light yet luxurious dish where milky stracciatella is paired with savoury Parma ham and marinated cherry tomatoes, drizzled with rosemary-infused honey and crowned with crunchy polenta shards. It’s salty, creamy, sweet, and crispy – all in a single spoonful.
Pastas That Tell A Story

La Torre offers many pasta options and we tried a few of them. The hot favourite at our table is the “Curzoli Romagnoli” Thick Egg Pasta (S$14 half / S$28 full). A rare find outside Italy, these thick, rustic pasta twists from Romagna are tossed in a lemon-parsley butter emulsion enriched with clam jus, fresh tomatoes, and briny Manila clams. Bottarga-laced breadcrumbs crown the dish with a whisper of the sea and a satisfying crunch.
Another enjoyable pasta is the Tagliatelle al Ragù with Béchamel Espuma (S$14 half / S$28 full). This is the textbook-perfect Tagliatelle alla Bolognese – made with slow-cooked Wagyu D Rump ragù enriched with milk – and is tossed with fresh egg pasta ribbons and finished with a light-as-air béchamel espuma and a sprinkling of Grana Padano. Deeply traditional, yet gorgeously modern.

For something lighter, go for the Tortellini in Chicken Consommé (S$16). This features delicate parcels filled with veal, mortadella, pork, and cheese are gently boiled and served tableside with a pour of shimmering, aromatic chicken consommé. Finished with grated Parmesan, this dish is soulful and elegant.
If you enjoy cheesy comfort food, the Cannelloni Della Nonna (S$13 half / S$26 full) is the dish to consider. A loving tribute to Chef Alessandro’s grandmother, this home-style dish wraps a trio of cheeses: ricotta, Parmesan, and tangy Squacquerone, with spinach inside baked pasta tubes. Dressed in house-made tomato sauce and béchamel, it’s the kind of food that warms you from the inside out.
Mains From The Charcoal Grill

The star of the show for us has to be the USDA Prime Heritage Linz Ribeye ‘Costata’ (600g) (S$148). This majestic bone-in ribeye is a carnivore’s dream. Expertly grilled over charcoal to achieve a smoky crust and Ejuicy centre, this is served with whole roasted garlic, caramelised onions, and a bright salsa verde, plus mulberry and smoked sea salt flakes on the side for custom seasoning. It’s a dish that commands attention and rewards slow enjoyment.
Pair your protein with the Wood-Fired US Asparagus (S$16), which is charred until tender, then tossed in rosemary brown butter, Then, it’s finished with shaved Parmesan and toasted hazelnuts – the latter treatment turns this into a nutty, aromatic pleasure we couldn’t get enough of.

Can’t go without potatoes? Then consider the Fried Wagyu Fat Potatoes (S$16). This features Russet potatoes fried in rendered Wagyu fat deliver crisp outsides and fluffy centres, topped with garlic crumbs and rosemary. A decadent, savoury hit in every bite.
We also enjoyed the Fried Cauliflower Florets with Pecorino Custard (S$18), which is golden and crisp on the outside, tender within. These cauliflower florets sit atop a velvety Pecorino custard and are showered with Parmesan for extra depth. It’s standout side that’s as luxurious as it is comforting.
Desserts That Delight

For a bold finale that blends savoury and sweet, order the House-Made Burrata Gelato with Rosemary Tuile (S$17). This is a creamy burrata gelato that rests atop citrus-scented crumbs, drizzled with fig vincotto, sprinkled with Parmesan, and finished with a crisp rosemary tuile. We love that it’s complex, refreshing, and utterly captivating.

Another dessert we tried and loved is the Zuppa Inglese (Italian Trifle) (S$15). Featuring ladyfingers soaked in cherry liqueur are layered with vanilla-lemon pastry cream, it also comes with an airy chocolate mousse, raspberry gel, and fresh raspberries.
La Luna: Where Nights Begins

As night falls, you’ll find that the ambience – light, music and vibe – progresses. Guests drift naturally toward La Luna, the rooftop bar with heart-pounding views and even better energy. Sip on house signatures like the Enzo Robutti (S$18), a moody mix of Scotch, amaretto, cherry, and basil; or the Antonio Canova (S$18), a delicate blend of amaro, peach, and thyme.

Sharing jugs like the Qualcosa Di Rinfrescante (S$40) that is made with gin, prosecco, elderflower and mint, brings a festive mood to the table.
