Best places to break fast at during Ramadan 2023

Ramadan has started and Muslims in Singapore will look forward to a month of fasting and prayers during this season that leads up to Hari Raya Puasa.

If you’re observing Ramadan or are planning to break fast in solidarity with a Muslim friend, here are a few Halal-certified and Muslim-friendly spots that you can make plans at.

From now till 30 April, Peppermint is collaborating with 1-Michelin-starred chef Auntie Gaik Lean from Penang to roll out the Flavours of Peranakan buffet.

The line-up include well-loved recipes from Auntie Gaik Lean and Peppermint’s Chef Leon. Highlights include the Nasi Ulam, Beef Rendang, Ayam Buah Keluak, and more.

From 22 March to 1 May, Atrium Restaurant begins its Ramadan Iftar buffet.

The delectable spread includesa Roasted Whole Baby Lamb at its live carving station on weekends, and well-loved dishes such as the Beef Rendang, Ayam Masak Merah, and Sambal Kang Kong.

If you enjoy grilled foods, there’s a wide variety to look forward to, including Spring Chicken, Lamb Chop, Sambal Squid, and Otah-Otah. Also, don’t miss Executive Chef Chua’s Signature Laksa that is a favourite among regulars.

For the breaking of fast, the restaurant will be serving Khajoor (dates) and Bandung. A prayer room is also available near the restaurant.

Halal fushion restaurant NOOSH is known for serving up delicious bowls of ramen, pasta, and other food items you don’t typically find in a traditional Halal restaurant.

And to make sure that they serve fresh greens, the restaurant even source from a local hydroponic farm, as well as its own mini farm, where they harvest pesticide-free vegetables in its salads.
