PUMA Run XX Nitro Pop-Up

Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia

Presented by National Gallery Singapore in partnership with National Gallery of Australia and Wesfarmers Arts, Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia surveys historical and contemporary works by over 150 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across Australia.
This is the largest exhibition of its kind to travel to Asia and is drawn from the collections of the National Gallery of Australia and The Wesfarmers Collection of Australian Art. the artworks
A celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, while also grappling with Australia’s complex histories, the artworks at Ever Present show deep interconnections between past and present, as well as extraordinary artistic innovation.
This exhibition explores key aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander life and culture, arranged thematically to highlight connections to land, community and ceremony, as well as experiences of colonisation and resistance.

Wellness Festival Singapore

At the inaugural Wellness Festival Singapore (WFS), look forward to over 120 physical and virtual wellness offerings held over 10 days.
A few large-scale activations will take place in popular locations across Singapore and they include:
- The Wellness Sensorium: This is a multi-sensory pop-up at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay offering innovative and Instagrammable experiences such as the Stone Ritual, which engages visitors in the mindful and collaborative exercise of stone-stacking and Light and Sound Bath, which creates an environment that induces a state of calm.
- Zentosa Fest: A series of wellness-themed stayover programmes, beach activities, and lifestyle offerings will be held across Sentosa in the month of June.
- Merli Wellness Trails: Explore parks and gardens while answering questions in exchange for exclusive Merli and Friends virtual badges.

i Light Singapore

i Light Singapore is back to light up Marina Bay with 20 captivating light art installations that aim to explore environmental and sustainability issues.
Based on the theme “Spark of Light”, these artworks are created by artists from 14 countries who took inspiration from the colour violet, which has the shortest wavelength and most powerful electromagnetic energy in the visible light spectrum, signifying the awakening of senses.
Highlights include:
- MOTHEREARTH ClimateChange Data Sculpture: Created by Turkish new media studio Ouchhh in partnership with Marina Bay Sands, this is a video projection on the facade of ArtScience Museum. The projection transforms publicly available environmental data into a stunning visual treat comprising moving lights, colours and sounds.
- Plastic Whale: An inflatable whale filled with recyclable plastic bottles, and scraps, breathing in distress, this artwork highlights the plight of marine creatures that are struggling to survive in their increasingly polluted homes.
- Firefly Field: This mesmerising display of 500 flying and blinking lights mimic fireflies, known for their ever-changing bioluminescence and movement at night, and will illuminate The Promontory at Marina Bay.
Besides light art installation, i Light Singapore will also feature a line-up of programmes and activities for a fun-filled and enriching experience for visitors.

GastroBeats

Taking over the Bayfront Event Space and transforming it into a 14,200sqm lifestyle playground, GastroBeats offers food, music, and play to participants.
The month-long event, which is held in conjunction with i Light Singapore, includes live music performances from local artistes, graffiti writing battles by Graffight, and a food-themed inflatable playground by Jumptopia.
For food, there are two main sections: Local Streets, dedicated to local cuisine, and Culinary Masters, which faetures a collaboration menu between international celebrity chef Sarah Todd and three other chefs: Derek Cheong (MasterChef Singapore Season 2 Winner), Gen Lee (MasterChef Singapore Season 1, Runner Up), and finally, George Calombaris (Judge of MasterChef Australia Seasons 1-10).

Singapore International Piano Festival

The 28th edition of the Singapore International Piano Festival returns with full audience recitals this June.
This year’s edition, led by Artistic Director and Singaporean pianist Lim Yan, will feature a mix of digital and live performances, starring a stellar line-up of international pianists including Japanese Kyoko Hashimoto, Berlin-based Singaporean Shaun Choo, Argentinian Ingrid Fliter, British Leon McCawley, and more.
The festival will end with a masterclass with Leon McCawley, where guests will get to hear and learn more from the British pianist who is popularly known for bringing freshness and vitality to Classical, Romantic and 20th century repertoire.

Movies in the Sky

Marina Bay Sands introduces Movies in the Sky, a brand-new series of movie screenings at the iconic SkyPark Observation Deck, against the backdrop of Singapore’s distinctive skyline.
You can bring along your own headphones to connect to high quality audio that plays in sync with the big screen, while you lounge in custom-designed recliner floor sofas to experience an intimate cinematic concept that’s different from a conventional theatre.
Movies in the Sky will screen a curated selection of 12 internationally acclaimed films in June and July at 8.30pm every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You can purchase light bites and beverages from CÉ LA VI’s kiosk located right next to the screenings between 4pm and 10.30pm.

SGIFF Film Club

The Singapore International Film Festival presents SGICC FIlm Club, an initiative to offer an intimate and welcoming space for conversations about cinema.
New sessions are available in June and will subsequently be targeted to run each month up to September so that a more diverse genres of films can be discussed.
Two mystery films will be presented on 11 June and 25 June (both from 1pm to 3.30pm), and traditional film-making styles will be reassessed.
On 15 June (7pm – 9.30pm), 2014 Singaporean multi-character thriller film Unlucky Plaza will be presented, and Perth, a 2004 Singaporean drama film, will be presented on 29 June (7pm – 9.30pm)

You probably know who Kwa Geok Choo is: the wife of Singapore’s founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew and the mother of current prime minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Toy Factory Productions presents Kwa Geok Choo, a one-woman monologue that pays tribute to the remarkable woman, as it looks into Kwa’s extraordinary life that has made an impact in directing the waves, currents, and tides that shape lives in Singapore today.
Written by Ovidia Yu, one of Singapore’s most well-known writers and directed by Toy Factory Productions’ Chief Artistic Director Goh Boon Teck, this moving theatrical piece is enhanced by the use of creative lighting and image projection to fully immerse the audience.
Through extensive research and interview, a collage portrait in words is put together by Ovidia in this riveting performance.
