Rohto eye drops are one of the must-buy drugstore products in Japan. The brand has recently launched a social media campaign, announcing their plans to release eye drops with caps featuring adorable cat ears.
The most exciting part? They’re doing an “online pageant” to pick out the top three cutest set of cat ears to be made into the final designs.
From 2 April to 14 April, cat-owners can upload their pets’ photos onto Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag “#猫耳目薬デビュー” to join the contest. The top eight cats will then be shortlisted before going through voting by global fans, which will determine which are the top three most popular cats. These three cats will inspire the final designs of the eye drops.
Note that the contest is only open to Japanese residents at the moment and the product will be available after the contest ends in May.
