Challenge your senses when you lose your sight for the night at NOX – Dine in the Dark. You will be in safe hands as there will be guidance offered by the visually impaired staff who have gone through professional training to carry out their duties as well as help to reassure the sighted guests in order for them to have a pleasant experience in total darkness.

Their menu also consists of 12 unique dishes that spans over three-courses for your tasting pleasures.

3. Ocean Restaurant

Dine with a different kind of view, yes, we are talking about the underwater kind! Suited for all occasions, Ocean Restaurant is the only restaurant in Southeast Asia to offer an underwater aquarium dining experience. Be mesmerised with the marine life as you enjoy the fine dining Californian-Mediterranean cuisine that was designed by America’s first female Iron Chef Cat Cora.

Their signature dishes include Sous-vide Salmon, Crispy Skin Barramundi and Maine Lobster.

Located right at the heart of Chinatown, The Screening Room is one of the best places to unwind. Besides running a rooftop bar that offers an amazing view of the night lights, customers have the choice of also dining comfortably in their screening room that runs classic movies.

The Screening Room is located at 12 Ann Siang Road, Singapore 069692. Their movie screening timings are from 7pm to 930pm, Monday to Thursday while on Friday and Saturday, it runs from 830pm onwards. Their rooftop bar is opened from 530pm onwards from Monday to Thursday, and from 5pm till late on Fridays and Saturdays.

5. SushiAirways

This Japanese restaurant is designed like the interior of an airplane cabin. To add character to their story, the staff are even dressed in cabin crew uniforms!

Sushi Airways’ seafood is specially flown by almost four times a week, providing their passengers the freshest sushi and sashimi. If you are feeling a little adventurous, you can opt for the Omakase (Translation from Japanese: “I will leave it to you.”) degustation menu which is based on seasonal delicacies of that week.

6. My Melody Cafe

Guess who finally got her own cafe? Pretty little pink-hooded rabbit My Melody, that is who! The cafe is beautifully decorated with a “Strawberry Paradise” garden theme and to further enhance the experience, the baskets and fruits were used in some of the dishes. They serve a good mix of the mains and desserts as well as beverages, all inspired by My Melody.

Some of the few stars from the menu are Little Pink Riding Hood which features an adorable version of benedict eggs, Halo Taco, a light dish of bread, vegetables and dip, and finally, Princess Bunny which is actually a Japanese Curry rice dish,

7. The Reading Room

Step into the world of literacy over at The Reading Room! The cafe walls are actually build-in bookshelves so grab your pick for the afternoon or spend the day with your friends deciding which coffee to get under their many types of coffee listed in their menu. It is a great place to chill or to kick start your productivity if you are looking for something more than just a co-working space.

Recommended dishes from their menus are their Norwegian Royale, which comes with a generous smoked salmon, french-style scrambled eggs, arugula, french butter on two delicious french toasts, Lobster Pasta in Creamy Tarragon, this is served with a whole fresh Maine lobster tail with cream, tomato, onion, garlic, and tarragon.

Head down to The Reading Room now at 19 Bukit Pasoh Road, Singapore 089833. They are opened from Sunday to Wednesday from 11am till 1130pm while from Thursday to Saturday, it opens at 11am till 1.30am.

8. ANDSOFORTH

You definitely do not want to give this a miss with this one-of-a-kind dining experience where you feast while a live theatre performance is happening all around you! The restaurant is always improving and innovating their plays so you can return for new experiences. While enjoying the theatrics around you, indulge in a four-course meal.

Previous menus include drumsticks paired with couscous salad and cod infused with thyme and a creamy pea sauce. Yum!

9. Prima Tower

Prima Tower is one of the two remaining revolving restaurants in Singapore, and was first launched in 1977. This is a perfect spot for family gatherings, and many diners love how they can spot different landmarks as the restaurant slowly rotates!

Dig into local loved dishes such as xiao long bao, char siew bao, and their recommended dish – Peking Duck. This is served as a crunchy roast duck skin wrapped in fluffy Chinese pancake.

Prima Tower is situated at 201 Keppel Road Singapore 099419. The opening hours for lunch are 11am to 2.30pm from Monday to Saturday except for Sunday where they will start lunch at 10.30am instead till 2.30pm while the dinner starts at 6.30pm to 10.30pm every day.

10. Mind Cafe

Have you been looking for good old fashion board games to play with but do not want to heavily invest in just one game? Enter Mind Cafe where they have up to 500 games to choose from. Overwhelmed by the options? Fret not, the friendly staff will be more than happy to help you pick out the best games according to your interests. Besides that, they offer many drinks and snacks to choose from as well as serving home-cooked dishes such as spaghetti, baked rice etc!

11. The Royal Albatross

Treat yourself to a luxurious night out at The Royal Albatross. Dining out here will be extra special as the ship will sail along to parts of Singapore while you are enjoying your meal with your significant other.

Here are some of the crowd favourite dishes from their menu, firstly, Scrambled Eggs in Croissant, a light meal of flaky and buttery croissant, a hearty scrambled egg and mixed greens. Let’s go back in time with Overeasy with their perfect retro theme of an adorable Brooklyn diner. The cafe outdid themselves with classic finishings and types of furniture. To top it all off, the amazing view of Marina Bay you get to fawn over while having your meal!

Overeasy does their cocktails and milkshakes incredibly well. Many are also obsessed with Spicy Buffalo Wings, Beer Can Chicken and Good Ol’ Fashioned Mac & Cheese.

Immerse yourself with a rich culture like the African heritage presented in Kafe Utu. The cafe operates as an eatery, lounge, and bar by night. 16. Sum Yi Tai

Sum Yi Tai pays tribute to glamorous Hong Kong in the 1980s. The name of the restaurant is translated as “the third wife” in English. The interior of the club stays true to its theme by having mahjong walls, dimmed red lanterns in the midst of having Canto-pop music pumping through the speakers. They also have a back room cocktail lounge, a private karaoke room as well as a rooftop bar!

When dining here, try the Chilled Jelly Fish with Citrus Dressing, a light dish to refresh your palate, a Double Boiled Black Chicken with Chinese Herbs which will remind you of home and familiarity and Wok Fried Sweet Sour Pork with Lychee, a popular local dish with a fruity twist!

18. The White Rabbit

They offer classic European recipes infused with Asian elements, some of the featured dishes include Salad Niçoise, which consisting of tomatoes, French beans, soft boiled eggs sashimi-grade tuna slices and vinaigrette dressing, Seared Bay Scallops, decked out in cauliflower puree, pan jus, and capers, and finally, an Italian version of Seabass en Papillote.
