Warm, moist and cheesy, Mac ‘N Cheese is no doubt the de facto comfort food that we crave for.
And if you’re looking for that kind of indulgence at a fast food joint, you’d probably be pleased to know that KFC is launching the Mac ‘N Cheese Zinger.
Available from 13 February (that’s tomorrow!), the KFC Mac ‘N Cheese Zinger is the latest creation by the fast food chain. It is served with two hearty patties (instead of sesame buns), moulded from Mac ‘N Cheese (uh-huh!) and fried until it gives a delectable crunch. Sink your teeth onto the crispy outsides, and into the moist, cheesy insides.
These patties are layered with the signature KFC Zinger fillet, stacked with crispy turkey bacon, lettuce, and then drizzled generously with KFC cheese sauce.
Does the KFC Mac ‘N Cheese Burger taste good?
We tried it at a media preview and find that the chicken patty was great – just like the Zinger burger that we love. It’s incredibly hearty, and is definitely a guilty treat that you want to go for if you’re craving for “comfort food”.
Surprisingly, for how indulgent it sounds, it didn’t make us feel tired (or a better term: jelak) from eating it. Most people would be able to finish the entire burger by themselves.
While we find that the addition of the cheese sauce makes the burger slightly too salty, it is overall still a great burger that’s worth trying out.
And you should do it as soon as possible. We understand from KFC that it will be available on their menu while stocks last.
