For those who have a bad experience with small, cramped, and dingy nursing rooms, the ones in 313@Somerset will surely blow you away.

This shopping mall’s nursing rooms are unexpectedly large, in particular the one on Level 5. They come with an adjoining toilet, a hot and cold water dispenser, private cubicles for nursing, and padded changing stations. However, do take note that the one on B3 does not have a power point, and instead has a microwave.

Claymore Connect is one of the most family-friendly shopping malls in Orchard with tenants such as Maple Bear Preschool, a children’s martial arts studio, and Trehaus (a co-working space).

Amenities here are quite simple, and include lockable nursing rooms with benches, diaper changing stations, sinks, and power points. However, mothers appreciate the cleanliness and spaciousness of this room, which has enough space for bigger strollers.

Far East Plaza

Far East Plaza may be one of the older shopping malls in Orchard, but you’ll be surprised to know that there are nursing rooms on every single floor, except Level 1.

Due to the small space, you can also expect fewer, basic amenities such as a collapsible changing station, sink, and hot and cold water dispenser. Another downside of the small space is that the changing station takes up so much space when in use, it is impossible to bring your stroller in with you.

ION Orchard

Widely-acknowledged as some of the best nursing rooms in Singapore, ION Orchard’s nursing rooms could probably be one of the mall’s main attraction points. There are nursing rooms located throughout the shopping mall, and the larger-than-average space can easily accommodate both your stroller and your shopping bags.

In addition to the usual amenities, each room has a disposable diaper dispenser and standing fan. The rooms on the lower levels tend to be more crowded due to higher traffic in the basement levels, so mothers recommend that you take the effort to go to the ones on Levels 3 and 4 if you prefer a more quiet environment.

If you have difficulty locating the nursing room in Mandarin Gallery, look out for the baby bottle signage.

There is sufficient space in this room for a single stroller, and it comes with few amenities: a side seat for nursing, a padded change mat on the countertop, and a sink.

Although the nursing area and diaper changing area are within the same room, you can actually lock the whole room so that you get more privacy.

Wheelock Place

While most nursing rooms are usually easily located, Wheelock Place’s one is harder to find, and is only accessible by lift.

This simple, lockable room comes with just a single chair, a sink, and a collapsible changing table. If you are unable to find the nursing room in time and need to quickly attend to your baby, the good thing is that the mall has changing stations in both the male and female toilets on every floor, which means you can let your husband take on the diaper-changing duties.

Wisma Atria

Source: Mum Centre

The entrance to the female toilet on Level 3 of Wisma Atria has a nursing symbol to inform you that a nursing room is available inside.

Although it is fairly large and can accommodate about two strollers, you won’t find any other amenities beyond the basic couch for nursing, changing table, sink, and soap dispenser.

The problem of being located inside the female toilet is that it tends to not be very clean, and mothers have complained about it having a bad smell. It is also often mistaken as a resting area since only a curtain separates the nursing area from the main toilet, and will probably not do if you are particular about privacy.
